can a dirty MAF effect starting??? and how dangerous is it to clean it? i know to spray it with electrical contact cleaner but do u take the whole thing out? also how long should i wait to put it all back together and drive?

all i can say is be very careful! When i did mine I took off the 2 torx screws and pryed with a flat head, sprayed with contact cleaner and then took an air hose to it, to dry it quicker, Be VERY gentle with the air hose though.I don't know if a dirty one will affect the starting though.
