MAF?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

After I took out my egr and emmission stuff out in order to put in a turbo,my car will idle high to about 3k and then shuts off.Now when i took the maf plug out it idles great around 1k but can't pass 2k when driving. So I thought its a bad maf,I went to the junkyard and bought me a used maf,pluged it in and it did the same thing as the other maf. Could it be another bad maf? or something else. There's no air leak,the only leak I have is the exhaust. BTW this is on a 91 240sx with a 96 engine in it. Oh and the car does smell rich.

Bump,I've use all my mechanic skills and still couldn't find out the problem for 3 weeks aready so now I'm leaving it up to my Nico friends for finding out what's the problem.
