A friend of mine has a MAF translator on his GS-T Eclipse. So that he can run open atmosphere BOV with out being completely pig rich. I was curious if there is one for the SR, because I haven't found one. I also thought about getting an Apex-i SAFC from my friend who has it on a 350Z, to help get my fuel and air intake mapped out.

Any suggestions? Right now I recurculated my BOV, but I'd like to go open atmosphere.

Him being able to run his BOV open has nothing to do with the MAFT, it has to do with him running his MAF in a blow-through setup instead of draw-through.

If you want to do the same, just cut your cold pipe in half and stick the MAF in the middle. Try to keep the piping on either side of the MAF as straight as possible.

so then what is the point of having a MAF-T?or the SAFC?

Would it benifit me to have the SAFC, my car does run rich

The MAF-T allows him to run a GM MAF (a hot-wire type MAF) on his DSM. The benefit of this is that it flows more than the stock 1G MAF, and doesn't require the wire hacking that going to a 2G MAF does. In addition, since the MAF-T is translating the hotwire signal to a karman vortex one, it can also do scaling to compensate for different sized injectors, much like an S-AFC does.

On a stock car (T25, stock fuel) you're going to see relatively little gain by tuning with an SAFC.
