So I can't figure out what type of sensor I have as far as the SAFC is concerned. I have been running it on 5 but for some reason I'm thinking I should be on 4 or maybe 7?? IDK how APEXI set up their sensor type chart... The s14 SR20 blacktop shows it should be on 5 but the s13 redtop shows 6 and CA 13 show 7... and their are no KA on the list.... I've been having alot of idle problems and I think its cause I'm using the wrong sensor type. It only reads like 0.2% airflow at idle. I know that's wrong because the voltage is near perfect at 1.0v at idle. Damn Apexi for not giving the set up information for any KA powered nissans... Only CA SR VG and RB.... Well screw you I'm not swapping my engine lol. I'm in America and so is my car. They seem to only cater to Japan....

So the real question is... Do the red top SR and the KA DE have the same MAF sesnsor in the way of being interchangeable?? Or do they output differently?? And if they do output differently what other nissan with a different engine has the same MAF as a 93 240sx??

I'm not sure about the SR and KA-DE, but I know for a fact that the SR and KA-E are interchangeable.

That made more sense than anything I have ever read on this forum :squint:

KADE and SR are different. Have to use KA-E with SR to be 'stock' and that takes some rewiring I believe.

If you have the stock MAF on your car you shouldn't be playing with the SAFC MAF settings.

Kinda referring to the fact that the KA is an american nissan engine... And is not listed in the compatability list. To be compatible I'd have to swap in a japanese only nissan engine and I'm not doing that. So screw Apexi for only catering to the TRUE japanese market.

People use these on all types of vehicles that aren't on the list though... The guy I bought mine from was using it on an SRT-4... WTF?? How did he know what type of sensor he had??

So ....... since it's not the same and I thankfully don't have a single slammer, how do I know what sensor number to use??

I know their are people on here using a SAFC on a KA DE whether it's turbo or not if your using the stock MAF what sensor number do you use???

If my MAF is interchangeable with any other Nissan Engines MAF like a CA or something it'd make it MUCH easier cause I can just find that engine on the list and use it's number...
