MAF sensor stuff? really need help b4 engine blows

hi everyonei need your help. today i bought a cone filter for my car, when puttin it on my s13 i was wondering what do i do with the sensor that goes to the air box? do i re-tap it somewhere else, or do i just disconect the wires for the MAF i dont know much about this and how all this will affect what i do so thats why i need help. thanks

you need an adapter plate to attach that sensor to the filter. without it, your car will enter limp mode where itw on't let you rev over 2500 or so.

the maf bnasically tells the computer how much air is coming in and how much fuel to portion to the injectors. without it, the computer is blind and enters a fail safe mode (limp mode)

it was runnin fine today wehn i took it out, and i took it above 2500 rpm. i tapped it into the pip goin to the filter, but yes i do have all the stuff hooked up and im not noticeing any diffrent things, but i will get an adapter plate. can you get them at like any auto parts store or what?
