maf sensor help/coolant temp sensor

Hey guys, I have a 1990 KA24E engine. How do you test the maf sensor on the ka24e? I took it off and looked at it. It has 2 what looks like resistors in it. One looked kind of bent. If I unplug it with the engine idleing it just goes dead. Does this sound right? I'm having problems with it idleing and it is sluggish and misses until you get to like 30 mph, then it smooths out and runs fine. It's running very rich.

Its got new plugs, rotor, cap,wires,and filter.Timing is 15deg btdc.

Also, where is the coolant temp sensor and could this cause my problems and how to test it?

Could it also be the O2 sensor and how do you test that?

Man i wish i could help but it seems like im haveing the same problem. the coolant sensor should be on the front by the upper radiator hose. if you find anything on that maf let me know cuz mines kinda weird.
