Since I have bought the car I have noticed some crappy repair jobs on some the connections in this car. The major one that I have been concerned about is the the MAF sensor connector. One of the pins in it moves freely back and forth which could be the problem that I am facing with a poor connection.

I went down to Peninsula Infiniti down here in Redwood City to check if I could buy the connector. But they said that I would have to buy what looked like half of the engine harness for $720.

I swear I remember seeing that someone bought a connector and would have to splice and solder the connector to the harness. If anyone has a part number please let me know.

I would try a junk yard first, you get away with spending a couple of bucks on it.

Joe used to have them.

The prices may not be current, but here are the part numbers for the MAF connector:

38751-123 Pins (you need 3) $1.54 ea 38751-112 Connector Shell $17.08 Total: $21.70

The invoice shows Location/List as BC1A

Are those numbers nissan part numbers or just numbers that Scottsdale uses in their catalogs? I would like to see if Pennisula Infinity has the parts.

I bought the same parts from IOS a couple of years ago. Most all parts are listed as INF (from the Infiniti stealership) or NIS (from the Nissan stealership) but these 2 start with OTH (other?).

You'll pay 35% -50% more plus tax but less shipping.

Those part numbers are correct. I bought new MAF , conn housing + pins (from IOS) and bought some UL1061 wires (radio shack). Took the wires and pins to work and crimp it using the proper crimping tool. Desoldered the old harness and put back the new harness. Brand new connection.

Where can one find the proper terminal crimping tool? I need to replace the MAF sensor connector with pins on my 1993 Q45. Bending the pins too much finally broke one...
