Been Looking at getting a New Mass Airflow sensor, Something that wont peak its voltage until maybe 24psi of Boost (Not running that much but i like to have a cushion)

I have looked at the Z32 MAF the Ford Cobra MAF and the Supra MAF.

I am currently running the BLUE E-manage with all the Ignition, Injector and MAP

My question is should i be able to Run one of these MAF sensors with just the e-manage or do i need to get my ECU modded (i.e Jim wolf Enthalpy Etc)

Also Would it benefit the ease of tuning on the E-manage if i got the ECU modded?

And for the Third part of my question which MAF have you had the best luck with? I.e Ease of converting best results etc.

Your best bet is to get the ECU tuned and use the 300ZX maf.

Enthalpy would be my first choice then JW, then EFI Specialists. Only because I don't have anough valid reviews of any EFI Spec tunes. But by all means, check them out and write a review for us.

Def. skip out on the emanage blue, you will be better off with a tuned rom(which controls timing while the blue does NOT)

I spent 250 on a road tuned, rom tune + n62 maf, and others charge similar. The n62 maf can also push at least 530whp from what I've seen.

Well i already have the e-manage in there and running, I also have an Ultimate sitting in my garage. I wanted to know if they would work together, (e-manage and ROM tune) Or so that i can have the ROM tune as my "baseline" and Emanage for fine Tuning

Ill look into the EFI also

Also the Emanage Blue With THe Ignition Harness i thought does control timing i could be wrong but i though that was the point of the ignition harness?

Right From Greddy's Website under the E-manage Blue

"If the "Optional Ignition Harness" and the software are used the unit has the ability to control a 16x16 ignition timing map. All of the above maps can also be map-traced in real-time as well. If the factory range of map or airflow meter is surpassed, you can incorporate a larger airflow meter or our "Optional GReddy Pressure Sensor and Pressure Harness" to set larger scales of adjustment."

I have an efi tune and my car runs great. Granted I'm not boosted yet, but I'm running 370cc incjectors so the tune is necessary. Car pulls harder than a stock ka, and I haven't had any startup issues. I'll be installing my wideband next weekend so I can tell you what the afr is like, but I won't be boosted until summer so I'll have to wait until then to see how the ecu does with forced induction.

I think i may try an EFI Tuned ECU, But I Just cant find if they do any custom Tunes or if you have to go with what they have. That factor may make me go with an enthalpy Tune in the end.

Personally if I had more money to put into my car project it would have an AEM EMS with a MAP sensor tuned by AFR and EGT. I would consider this far superior to other tuning methods, although its overkill for a street vehicle and rather pricey after all is said and done, especially compared to a 500-600 Enthalpy Tune (what I use now).

Also with AEM EMS hope you never have to get it Emissions tested or inspected! It Disables the Dash lights that need to be on and then go off for testing.

EFI does custom tunes, just tell him what you are running and he will tune for it.

That's not how that works...Every state's testing programs are different - and in each state it can vary from county to county and even further down.

For example, in NJ you have to get inspect (all working lights, dash lights like check engine, emission and brakes) every two years, no ifs ands or buts. Like everything there are ways around it, but you still need to know the laws locally and what the penalties are for avoiding it.

I've gotten a $120+ fine for no inspection sticker...

Does anyone have any experience with the EFI custom tunes? I was thinking about ordering the Daughterboard upgrade from them, because I don't want to send my ECU off.

Another neat little thing i have picked up Was Nissan Data Scan Software and a USB Consult Cable (OBD), Still trying to get it to Work though seems like it can see the ECU but not Communicate with it.
