It depends on the fuel system, im pretty sure the latest apexi commanderFC allows deletion of the MAF.

The HKS Vein Pressure Converter (VPC). Though it is expensive and I am not sure if it is made anymore.

You need either a MAF or a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor to measure engine load. Most, 99%, of hondas use a MAP sensor from the factory, this is called a speed-density system. Most stand alones, i.e. AEM, haltech, etc. can use either a MAP or MAF sensor, your choice. On my SR20det, i am using an AEM EMS with an AEM map sensor and it works great. Maps are much easier to tune.I dont know if the piggy back or add-on systems will allow you to switch to a different system, since the stock computer has been calibrated to work with the maf sensor. Try calling jim wolf tech and ask them if they have a flash that allows you to use a MAP sensor.

Pretty much any standalone system will allow you to eliminate your MAF. Power FC, F-con, haltech etc. etc. Also, from what I understand, the Greddy E-manage has an option that you can buy to make it MAF less, but not sure. The problem is that Eliminating the MAF makes it more diffficult to tune. In addition, some of the MAP devices are not as intake temp sensitive, and will require you to retune it as the season changes. I know the F-con is bad about that. The Power FC isn't that bad. Not sure about other ones, though. . . have not had experiences w/ others w/o MAF. Once you have different templates set, it's not that big of a deal, as you will just have to scroll through and pick the right map for the condition. (that's why I think that the power FC is the best since it has the controller, so you can go through this procedure w/o connecting it to a laptop)Switching to MAP increases the throttle response on the turbos like no other, though. the difference is literally night and day.
