like the title says, im curious as to whether a wrong MAF reading can be a blown fuse or something similar. OR is it only possible to be the MAF. for arguments sake, lets rule out wiring. in other words, if wiring is correct, and MAF is sending wrong volts, can something else be damaged?

i swapped out the MAF. still the same thing. car wants to bog out if not given gas. when i unplug the MAF car runs a little better. any thoughts? any electrical component that could have gone? or is it probably just the wiring job?

i didnt check it, my mechanic did. i gave him the FSM, he said it was sending volts that seemed too high = running too rich. just trying to figure out if the MAF could be affected by anything other that wiring. because if not, i'll just redo the wiring and see if that works. but if so, could there be some fuse that is messed up, or something else in the ECCS that could have gone, to affect the MAF.
