Reading some of the posts people noted that the CA/KA/SR MAF look the same and the only difference is the pin (correct me if I'm wrong). I was wondering how interchangeable are they if at all? Could I use my 91 KA24DE MAF on my S13 SR? Would I have to plug the KA connector to make it work? My 30 day start up warranty is getting close so I need to get her running. I would use a Z32 MAF but the nearest SR ECU tune is a distance away. Will the car run with the MAF disconnected? I didn't see too much on this on the FAQ's and install guides.I've been having the worst luck with my first SR swap

Thanks,I heard horror stories about the condition of their swaps. My brother says that I got ripped off hardcore on my swap, but I think it could have been worse. I bought my swap from e-bay because of fraud protection. I didn't buy a front clip which was a mistake. I bought it for $1,900 including shipping. The listing said it was a blacktop, instead I got a silvertop and later found out it was actually an early model redtop. The AIV box is dented. I don't know if that really matters. Info on that would be great. The ECU is dented a bit and the screw for the self diagnostic is missing. There's one on the KA ECU at least. The good news is that the clutch as very little wear on it, about 10% at most. The engine is decently clean. The throttle could use some more cleaning. I can't say anything till I get it started though.

i would take the ecu cover off and try to dent it back the other way to normal. I've heard of them being dented and causing problems when the engine is running ..just my 2 cents

I can't find a SOHC MAF in town and I don't have the luxury of time. Will the DOHC one work?

No. Just start it without it. It will require throttle to start it. It wont idle well.
