Quick question: Is it worth it to upgrade the MAF on a stock engine and stock ecu? It seems most upgrade after turboing and using a third party ECU.

I've never seen a direct answer on this and I did search.

From what Ive heard, you cant really, or else it would have to be custom. Any upgrade will send a different signal to the ecu, and the car will run like crap, even though it has the capability to flow more air. I assume your talking about an s13 right? Yeah the MAF pisses me off. It has a blocky design, and no taper, just a straight drop off to a smaller bore. Kinda makes me feel like the larger piping on my aem is useless...
