First Question :

I finally got a J60 MAF ! I tried the Q45 maf and the N60, but they both didn't work. The Q45 was a Noob mistake, and the N60 was a result of listening to other people. When I got the J60 I realized it didn't come with a pigtail. Does anyone know where I can get a pigtail or just the connector ? Is there a USDM connector that would fit ?

( Q45 and J60 MAF are both for sale $50 each shipped)

My second question :

I found an inter cooler on eBay the specs sound good, but are they realistic for the type of intercooler ( same side inlet outlet).

Specs:

22.75'' x 11'' x 3" High Flow Intercooler Square High Flow Tube & Fin Design Light weight designed. Made of Aluminum. All TIG Welded 6061 Aluminum. PSi Drop under 0.2. Other Intercooler usually drop 2 Psi Some are More. Max PSI is 40 Up to 600HP Has top mounted inlet/outlets Core Size: 19.5" x 11" x 3" with 2.5" inlet/outlets

First Question:

Do the MAFs mechanically work properly? What do you mean "it didn't work"? What are you using to tune? I'm not sure of the pigtail question, but maybe someone with FAST could run a cross-reference for the plug.

Second Question:

Honestly, it sounds like a decent piece but you're not going to notice a power difference between one or another. I'd say get one that you can fit and that has the proper end tanks for your intercooler pipe routing that you desire. Other than that, it is just a bunch of cooling fins stacked on top of eachother. Until a person is ready to drop $1,000 on one, they're all pretty much the same.

For the link, I have seen better cores with the inlet and outlet on the same side. Look around some more and you'll see what I'm referring to. There is probably one in the "let's see your engine bay" thread.

Question 1

I'm assuming they both work, I ordered them from eBay, and the descriptions said they worked. I wouldn't try to sell anything faulty, I'm planning to stay on the Nico-club forums for a while haha. I didn't have an air/fuel controller so the car didn't start. When I got the Q45 I didn't know jippity s*** about MAFs or even how an engine worked. After I realized my mistake I ordered an N60 because I read that it would work, but just a little rich. Turns out it didn't work at all, and I later read elsewhere that it's not compatible with RB25 s2. The point is I made a mess.

Question 2

Thank's for you're input ! I don't wanna end up with more parts just collecting dust. A second opinion is always great.

I know the car looks like crap I'm planning on pulling the engine and repainting the bay during the summer. It's starting get cold !

As I am reading your response, it sounds like you have learned that only an RB25 MAF sensor can be used with the stock ECU. A S2 MAF can be used on a S2 harness, but the MAF plug is different. The extra ground wire on the S1 MAF can just be connected to the other ground wire on the MAF plug. The S2 MAF plug only has a 12V PWR, GND, and SIGNAL wire. S1 has those three wires plus an additional GND wire.

i do not think that was the question at hand. the question was " what plug on a usdm vehicle will match the j60 plug?" I to have the same question and wonder what pigtail i can pull out of the j-yard.
