90 Nissan 240sx KA24E-T Car idles fine with the MAF meter unpluged. When i plug it back in the car stats and then wont stay running. It idles fine with the MAF unpluged but wont idle up. Now when the MAF meter is pluged in. If i keep my foot on the gas i can rev up with no problems. Anyone have and idea info would be good. Thanks

I'm assuming you have a functional turbo kit installed? Was it running and then stopped all of the sudden? Or was this after the kit install and now the car doesn't run?

When the MAF is unplugged the ECU runs in limp mode, which doesn't use the MAF signal and only allows for 2500 rpm. If the car runs and is able to rev past 2500 with the MAF installed but stalls when you let your foot off the throttle you may just need to bump your idle adjustment up some.

What are the details behind your setup?

I have a T25 turbo with 550cc venom injectors. The ecu hac a e-mance chip in it that was programed for the turbo and the injectors. It was also programed for a N60 maf. The motor ran before the turbo was put on. The maf sensor is a N60 and is out of a 91 maxima with a VG30E. I have NGK plugs that the gap is set at .35. There is also a wideband on the car to.

Sounds ok to me, watch the AFR's at idle, see if they go over rich, and crank the idle air control valve open a bit. IIRC it's turned counter clockwise to increase the RPM. You'll just need a snub nose phillips screw driver. Try for 800rpm as a goal with the engine warmed up. If it refuses to stay running you may have another problem.

Is the BOV leaking by chance?

Did you try what I posted above? Does the idle adjust up?

Make sure the wiring is correct. Typically, a slight leak won't keep a car from idling. It may be a wiring problem.

Ok I just got the car back from the exhaust shop. I did not check to see if the BOV is leaking. The only thing that i wired was the MAF. I used the Jim Wolf diagram off his website. But now my car does not run at all , it started at the shop. And when i got it home now it just cranks and cranks. so i have to go check some things out on it. I was thinking of putting m stock injectors in and hooking up a FMU instead if the chip. Im so lost on this whole turbo thing.
