maf problems

i finally got my rb20 started and running, much thanks to Carl H but i'm having a problem with my MAFS. it starts and runs with the MAF unplugged, but it dies when i plug it in... any ideas? i searched around, but i only found z32, q45 and other maf questions... any help would be great!

i had a mafs problem when i did my swap.. cuz i used an n60 mafs and it was wired wrong.. so if you had to hard wire ur mafs re-check it again. or if you are using the stock rb mafs then it shoulds to be dead.

yeh, its the stock rb20 mafs. dead huh? that sucks. is there any way to test it? i really dont want to buy another one. but if i have to thats all i can do huh? i thought i had a wire crossed when i extended the wires, but i dont. any body else have this problem?

so if my MAF is dead, is there any other MAF i can use on the stock motor without having to have the motor tuned for that MAF? How much does using a z32 affect the engine? can i use a z32 n60 MAF without having it tuned. i live about 5 hours from the nearest shop i can have it tuned at... any help would be appreciated!

n60 works with no tune so i hear from others.. i been using an n60 with no problems...

a z32 mafs will need a tune.. n60 no.
