Hey guys, Ive been googling this for a while and tried everything but no luck.
So i have a s13 sr20det redtop with a z32 mac. Car was running fine before the engine was pulled for a rebuild.Put it back in and it has a rough idle and bogs and dies. I unplugged the maf and the idle gets better. So i figured bad maf and bought a new one. Still no luck, same idle problem, any ideas? Thanks for any help guys

I also forgot to plug the knock sensor in, although im not sure what effect that would have

Check for damaged MAF wiring.

What ECU are you running it with? Stock ECU is incompatible with the Z32 MAF.

if it was running fine with stock ECU then is was already Tuned... maybe it might just need another tune. try using a Stock S13 SR MAF and see what happens. also like what the previous post said maybe wires got damaged or your Z32 MAF might have gone bad or dirty
