maf problem

hey, i have a problem with my maf. when it is plugged in the car dies, but if its not plugged in i can drive it to about 2k rpm in every gear. should i just get a new maf?

when it does this... does it seem to be running rich? if so then yes get a new one, or try just cleaning it.

Just make sure when you are cleaning it to use electrical safe cleaner and give it some drying time.
