i plan on going ka-t after gathering all necessary parts for the setup, but i was wondering:

other than the 300zx MAF, what are the other options?

i read about the J30 and the 89-94 Maxima MAF's, and i thought the Q45 would be a good one, but apparently its too big for it to be efficient under like...500 hp?

basically, my junkyard doesnt have any z32's and im wanting to know what else i should look for that would be comparable and as compatible with the KA wiring as the z32 MAF.

thanks in advance guys

Its going to depend widely on what your goals are and what your tuning methods are going to be. If you are getting a tuned ecu, certain tuners arent going to support all the possible options.

thats why i was wondering what choices are similar to the 300zx.

im not trying to do anything outrageous, power-wise, im just wanting something that'll flow better than the stocker.

The maxima mafs (N60) is a pretty popular choice and the wiring is similar to the 300zx mafs. Not too sure about its max output. Should be fine for up to about 350hp i think.

well, like i said, im not trying to break any records, i just want some reliable power that'll carry me through the powerband.

by "popular choice", do you mean that its an easy alternative to the 300zx maf, and is commonly tuned to work correctly in ka-t setups?

i think im gonna try to snatch one or two tomorrow at the yard.

The ECU tuners usually tune for the N60, N62, Cobra MAF and stock unit.

When you get the MAF, you'll need to get the MAF plug as well. We have a wiring diagram in the FAQ to use.
