MAF now....

So, after replacing a second O2 sensor yesterday, the SES light came back on today... So back to the shop I went... they told me it was the MAF and it was reading 135 when it should be about 100. The technician cleaned it then took the car for a drive and he told me he got the reading down to about 120.

Can anyone clarify this a bit for me? My understanding is that MAF controlls the fuel mixture and if the high readings persist, I'll have to replace it.

I can't say for sure that is your problem.

It seems to me that MAFs fail frequently on 2001 Pathfinders and QX4s. That might be just an observation.

Did your SES code come up as a lean bank? That's what mine had.
