will the late 90's 3 prong maf work for 95 240?i hooked it up earlier and no CEL came up should i risk it?

in my s14 its almost like the maf has gone outwhen you go full throttle it cut in and out an jerks pretty hardsometimes its at half throttle or any variation but no celit was throwing a maf code but it went awayits quite annoying

clean the maf with carb cleaner, then if you have a dmm check the hertz output on the signal wire, it should sweep smoothly throughout rpm range, if not u got a bad maf.

cleaned maf out code came back on shecked out to be vac leak or block like i was thinking it might beand since the throttle was cutting out i figure possibly fuel filter or some jazz along those lines
