Can a MAF on a '95 S14 max out at 6psi. Mine gets to 4.948 volts around 4,800 rpm. Then the ecu goes in to safe mode or what ever you call it. The car doesn't rev past 2K, after restarting back to normal. If I keep the rpms down it never maxes out.

Time for the hacked maf:)

Mine hits 5 early as well(6.5 psi) but it should not go into safe mode unless the voltage is way out of range. If it's anywhere from 0.1(likely) Volts to 5 volts(maybe a little more) then the ECU should not error out. Something else is causing the safe mode. Perhaps the S-AFC is causing some issue where it may show 0 volts for some reason. Or maybe something entirely unrelated to the MAF.

can you elaborate more on this? What is exactly happening?

its limping home. the ecu senses a problem, and starts dumping fuel and wont rev past 2000 rpm. its a way for the car to still run safely without sensing air intake. but its really rich, and low RPM

Can the crank or cam poss. sensors have something to do with it?

nice pic, so if you keep the revs low then it does not do this? have you check all the intercooler piping?

I don't have an ic yet, if I keep the rpms lower the 4K its good. Maybe the bov leaks.

I dont think that the BOV should be a problem, at idle several BOVs are known to leak, but when you are boosting it should be slammed shut.

i remember c-kwik had a problem with his coolant temo sensor, there was a break in the wiring for it. this cause his car to go into safe mode, iirc. id oubt this is it but maybe once you get that high into the rpms and egt's get high the coolant temp sensor craps out.

It's wierd. I think it started happening, after I installed the safc, it only happends when I get on the gas but not every time. I checked my ecu codes I got 32? I think its aic related. Also I have an egr code, but thats because its blocked.
