Its not the bov because its coming directly from the MAf. If i put my ear up to the BOV, it's nothing. If i put my ear to the MAF i can hear it louder, trust me, it's coming out of the MAF.DrifterProdigy85 wrote:Its your BOV. Mine does the same thing at light throttle around low vacuum and 0psi. Stock BOV's leak a little bit (at least mine does) and under light vacuum and when a little boost comes in you can hear it whistle.
Yes im talking about the high pitch sound. I know when i rev it will suck in air, just when it's idling and it's real high pitched whistle.rb25det250sx wrote:LOL
if your talking about the loud high pitch noise thats wierd. but i hear a whistle when you first get on the throttle and thats just cuz its sucking in air.
Wow! what. If it's something ez or stupid then tell me. but it's loud as hell and freaking me out. First time ever to have a turbo car, so little things freak me out. Yet considering the fact that the car is dogging down like hell, you cant push on gas at all, im thinking it's either the coilpack harness or maf. Idk if it's the turbo or not.maryjane wrote:wow!
Okay, as long is its nothing big. I was just hoping that it wasnt like a bad maf or anything, because the car dogs down reallly bad. Yet im pretty sure it's the coil pack harness. All the clips broke on the harness and i had to put each little plug on each coilpack.Neejay wrote:Mine did the same thing like the 1st video, at idle. It was audible at my cone filter...that's why I asked if you had one, but I see you don't. The cone filter I had at the time, was a cheap mesh one that you can see through. It's almost like not having one (like you). All it is, is vacuum. Notice how it goes away when you rev?
Ever since I replaced the cheap, mesh cone filter with an apexi adapter/filter, I don't get that sound anymore at idle.
