The MAf when driving and also when rpms are coming back down will make a whistle noise? RB20det stock maf. Unsure as to why it would do this.

When you are driving and you let off of the gas, so rpms are dropping, the MAF will make a whistle noise.

If you rev up and let off it will make a whistle noise.

The maf whistles, i dont know how to better explain. What could make the MAF whistle.

Well, if you're sure it's coming from the MAF, look around for small leaks, tighten up the clamps in the area, and just jiggle things around to see if it fixes it. Post a video up if you like. Might help. Kinda tough to tell from just your description so far.

keep in mind your throttle body does pull in vaccum at low idle and rev before boost is applied. You just might have a loose vacuum hose.

Its your BOV. Mine does the same thing at light throttle around low vacuum and 0psi. Stock BOV's leak a little bit (at least mine does) and under light vacuum and when a little boost comes in you can hear it whistle.

Its not the bov because its coming directly from the MAf. If i put my ear up to the BOV, it's nothing. If i put my ear to the MAF i can hear it louder, trust me, it's coming out of the MAF.

Yes im talking about the high pitch sound. I know when i rev it will suck in air, just when it's idling and it's real high pitched whistle.

Wow! what. If it's something ez or stupid then tell me. but it's loud as hell and freaking me out. First time ever to have a turbo car, so little things freak me out. Yet considering the fact that the car is dogging down like hell, you cant push on gas at all, im thinking it's either the coilpack harness or maf. Idk if it's the turbo or not.

Mine did the same thing like the 1st video, at idle. It was audible at my cone filter...that's why I asked if you had one, but I see you don't. The cone filter I had at the time, was a cheap mesh one that you can see through. It's almost like not having one (like you). All it is, is vacuum. Notice how it goes away when you rev?

Ever since I replaced the cheap, mesh cone filter with an apexi adapter/filter, I don't get that sound anymore at idle.

Okay, as long is its nothing big. I was just hoping that it wasnt like a bad maf or anything, because the car dogs down reallly bad. Yet im pretty sure it's the coil pack harness. All the clips broke on the harness and i had to put each little plug on each coilpack.

I highly advise you to buy a new harness if the clips break, it's hard as crap putting those back on w/no clips, lol.
