I found out that i need to replace my MAF on my 90 Max .. i know the original is so expensive this days but won't it be the same as generic like on any of the local auto parts? I saw MAF selling out from the salvage auto wreck.. so which one should i choose? THANKS a million

PS. i was reading my ECM and it gives this weird code... need help too on this it blink 3 times then it blink 4 times then blink 5 times.. ???? what code would it be? all on the color GREEN .. no color RED which is RED FIRST THEN GREEN ON ECM.. THANK again

On a MAF i would personally buy one from a auto parts store. Luckily on my 93 max the Maf went bad and Bought one from local parts store, but we put it in and it still had problems. So we never thought the new MAF was bad, but after a few weeks of testing other things we tested the new MAFand it was putting out bad readings. SO we took it back to local parts store and got new MAF.... Can't do this with junkyard. WE tried to find one at a junkyard but they wanted just as much as the local parts store was selling it for. Maybe we would have saved 30 dollars. But then you take the chance that the junkyard one being bad too. My 2 cents.

I've heard that the generic ones (non-oem) have a very huge failure rate.My opinion is to go with a Nissan product even if its used. I went to a Nissan auto wrecker and picked up a used MAF for my 240sx a couple years ago and never had a problem with it.
