Wow I didn't know that! I'll try fixing the solder joints first. I heard the ones for the connector were often cold soldered. I'll reflow them3Q Jay wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 8:53 amThey're out there, though less common.

note the P/N suffix changed from 61u00 to 61u01.
btw, I paid $430.27 for a new 61u00 from IoS almost 17 years ago.
So maybe the amayama part is not unreasonable.
Yours may be able to be fixed if it's something like broken solder inside (pretty common).
I'll check this out! Thanks so much!VStar650CL wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 9:58 amLots of parts on older models have superseding part numbers. The easiest way to check that is to plug your VIN into InfinitiPartsDeal.com. That will let you locate the original part number. If there's a supersession, the page for the part will have a line saying "Replaced By:" and show the most recent p/n for the part.
Agreed. However in this particular instance, it's not just a supersede. the 61u00 still applies to all G50 with the 3-pin connector, the 61u01 (total digression, I would have actually expected the p/n to be 68u00, but it isn't) is for the 4-pin interface with the rounded connector.VStar650CL wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 9:58 amLots of parts on older models have superseding part numbers.
