As the title suggests, my mass airflow sensor is no longer with us... WHERE CAN I GET ONE?? The shop suggested an aftermarket one they can get for $580! I'm not about to pay that much. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm scared to get one off e-bay or something like that b/c they have to be shipped. shipping = jiggeling = breakage. I'm also worried about getting one from a salvage yard. Just don't know if i'll get one that works.... any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Most salvage yards offer like a 30 day warrenty. I had a 90 day on my headlight motor.

i have 1, not so sure if it works though.(could test it out)(this is for a 93 240sx, i believe they all have to match year)

also try a junkyard, i got 1 from there for another 240sx and it works just fine.

I'm pretty sure they don't have to match your year. Just has to be 91 - 94.

well, here's a quick update: went to my local salvage yard and picke up a MAF. Installed on car and there was no immediate change in drivability. I decided to take it for a drive, maybe the car just needed to re-learn how to run. Still a bad idle, but as soon as you lean into the throttle to accellerate, it ran like a champ. Thought, okay, let's get a new o2 sensor, that thing needed to be replaced anyway. Still doing the same. Left it at home for my dad to check it out while i went to work. got home and promptly fell asleep only to awake this morning to a car that wont even start now. It's flooding REALLY bad. Checked out the throttle position sensor, it's reading OPPOSITE of what it should be (2kohms at idle and 10kohms at full throttle). Can't figure that one out either. so, got a tow truck to come get the car and take it to a shop to have it diagnosed. Does that make me less of a man, or mechanic, or something?
