Spent a few hours today doing research on my problem, just want to confirm that the MAF is bad before I bother the guy I got it from for a new one.

When MAF is connected: I fire the car out, it sputters then diesWhen MAF isn't connected: idles but wont rev over 2500

No engine codes showing up. and I've checked the wiring from the harness to the MAF sensor, it's fine.

One thing that seems wierd, I've connected my old SOHC KA24de MAF and it still does the same thing. I do not know if that MAF is working neither, because they car was in bad motor condition when I got it.

If someone could help me out, please do. Thanks

Well I fixed it, I remember someone putting the MAF in backwards and having the same problem. So what I did was pull the MAF and checked to see which way the air should flow, then realized I put it in backwards, hehe. It's fixed now. Car idles at around 800-1000rpm.

Know I have to fix a small oil leak in my new oil pan. Plus I have to buy a new flat head screw driver (small head) to adjust my electic fan. But the car seems to rev perfectly now, thanks for the help.
