Anyone know of a way to bench check the MAF. BE it 300ZX or 240SX. My 240 MAF is definitly bad, it gives no voltage over .7 volts and the car won't rev over 2500 rpm. The 300ZX MAF I have puts out 3.7 volts with the key on and the engine not even running. All the wiring has been tripple checked. As soon as you connect the MAF signal wire to the MAF it jumps to 3.7 volts...WTF.

The internals look to be in good order. I'm at a loss here, I don't really want to buy another 300ZX MAF just for troubleshooting.

Anyone have any input for me, the car needs to get finished so I can tune it.

I'm tired of driving my Celica....I NEED BOOST.

well you saw the numbers i posted for the 240sx mafs, the correct voltage numbers. i dont know what the correct volts are for the z32 mafs. why do you think that your z32 mafs is bad? or is 3.7 volts on any mafs way too much for them to function properly?

umm check the hotwire for damage/dirt debris/ grime on the wire.

All MAF's should be around 0.5 at the ON position.

My TPS is correct, Its already been checksd. Asde from the fact that it was never touched during this project.

The MAF is clean, the connections are all soldered.

I think the MAF is bad...no other explanation.

Looks like it's back to the damn junkyard for me.

u could also check with an safc. if at idle, the airflow % looks odd or way off, that could be a good indication of a bad maf..........

Just give me time homegirl. Before I get into the block I should be sitting at 390 or so. Plus I'm a better driver so I should be able to beat you down the 1320.
