Do you need to have the mass air flow sensor when you are using a standalone? I am going with the Megasquirt system.

no, you can convert to run on a map sensor if you want, but you HAVE to have something to monitor the air entering the engine so your computer knows how much fuel to give it. that's the whole point of a ecu
