I am in the process of making a small run of intake systems for the G50. I have a '94 so they will be for that. Not sure if the 90-93's are the same around the airbox. It will attach to the MAF and turn 90 degrees and go down through the panel below the stock airbox. The air filter will be under that panel between the wheel well and the front bumper. It will be made from stainless steel and use 3.5" tube. I have flange adapters already made but they don't have the tube attached yet. They are just flat 1/8" 316 stainless steel cut with a water jet system. They won't do you much good at this point.
If you aren't in a big hurry and are interested in one of them let me know. I am not sure how much I will need to get for them yet. If I had to guess I would say around $150. The stainless is expensive and I have to get them welded up.
One nice thing is that I can have any fittings you need welded on. If you want any 1/8", 1/4", etc. fittings welded on to the tube that's no problem. I plan to put a couple extra fittings on my personal one as I plan to use it for my turbo intake if I ever get around to that project.
I wouldn't bother with a filter that pulls air from under the hood as it'll be very hot and will reduce your performance. I have one and can feel a significant power reduction after the engine is hot. I am using a MAF adapter for a J30. It's not a direct match but it's close so I made it work.
