Does anyone have a buddy with a 95-99 Maxima? I need someone to check if a MAF adapter from one would work on the J30. So, basically just see if the mounting holes on the MAF to the filter box are the same distance apart. I want to get a K&N cone, but I don't want to pay some absurd sum of money for the name 'popcharger' or anything else, heh. Thanks for any help.

I bought two different mounts, one specified maxima the other for sentra and the sentra was way too small , wouldnt even cover the maf opening and the maxima didnt fit either...I had to remachine the mount to work.

So if you're looking for a straight bolt-on piece...I think you're going to have to open your wallet to JWT, Stillen or K&N for the proper adapter. Unless anyone else in here got an adapter elsewhere.

Weak? sorry my two cents didnt give you the exact answer you were looking for. Just buy an adapter at a reputable place with a return policy and find out for yourself. Take out the middle man and do an experiment. If it doesnt fit, either return it or make it fit.

This is my setup.

The maxima adapter I found didnt fit, but I made it fit. Redrilled two holes and silicone gasketed it against the MAF and used 1/2 "bolt/nut combo to secure it. Autozone special $10

K&N filter RU-2590(replacement I'm ordering next week) $48

Lol, sorry to upset you, man. I just get sick of having vehicles with little to no aftermarket. It was the same way with my motorcycle. Yeah, I'll figure it out. Thanks though.

nah not upset, just giving you a hard time.

Yeah sucks having a car with no direct aftermarket support, but at least there's a glimmer of hope being able to make maxima and 300zx parts fit with minor modification, unlike if we had a taurus, kia, suzuki or something of the sort where there is absolutely nothing, not even a K&N drop in without special order.

Yeah, I hear ya. It would just be nice to say, 'Hey, I want a new intake', and then go buy one that's not made of dryer vent or something. But this isn't really the type of car for that, I know.
