I had a mechanic work on my KA-T and he messed up the plug on the MAF. According to what I found doing searches on the the forums the order of the wires should be b/w, blk, white starting from the far right (not using the first prong on the left). The car will start and run like this, but it doesn't idle very well and if I give it gas it won't go past like 3k rpms (sounds almost like it has launch control and just bounces off 3k-3.5k rpms). Any ideas where to start? Could the MAF be no good?

If the MAF isn't wired right or is bad the ecu goes into limp mode, which measn it won't let the car rev past 2500ish. So you definitly have a problem...if the mechanic messed up the MAF he needs to fix it or replace whats broken.

Thank's....The mechanic up and moved 700 miles away with my car in pieces.....It was a mess that I am trying to sort out.

Anyone have any experiences with the q45 maf on a ka24det?

I SEE YOUR FROM THE AREA... AND HAVEA KA24e-t... IM HAVING ISSUES WITH MINE AS WELL... I HAD MINE BOOSTED FOR 2 YRS RAN GREAT AT 5LBS... THEN I BLEW THE HEAD AND HAD ISSUES EVER SINCE I PUT THE NEW HEAD... AND ALWAYS HAD ISSUES..

JUS RECENTLY PUT A NEW MOTOR (60kmiles) AND BOLTED MY TURBO SETUP TO IT AND I JUST GOT IT TO CRANK YESTERDAY BUT I HAVE NO PRESSURE.. IM YET TO BOOST CUZ WE LOST A ENGINE MOUNT WHEN PUTTING BACK TOGETHER.. AND THE DOWNPIPE ISNT CONNECTED SO THINKING THAT MIGHT BE THE ISSUE WHY ITS HAS NO POWER... IDK... BUT CAR CRANKS RIGHT UP AND IDLES GREAT... I HAD IT TUNED preveious to blowing the motor (rod thru block) but when i drive there is not power worst then if was N/a... so idk... wanted to know if u knew anyone who can lend a hand...or a local shop

running better... but getting alot of detonation... gona play with the timing... thinking 25-30 btdc.. feeling good under 5lbs... if i can get rid of the detonation ill go up to a 9lb spring...

had a misshap on the hwy... rad hose and fuel line popped off.. and noticed injector was squirting... tightend the lines with hose clamps... but havent got to work on the fuel injector... got to take fuel rail apart...ended up getting it towed home just now $100 out of my pockets! arrr lol
