At everythingInfiniti.com:MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR, Q45 - 90-94 - $366.14

I'm shopping around for a used MAF. Is the 95-96 MAF compatible with my 92 Q45 or does it have to be one from a 90-94?

Thanks!-Jesda

The 90-93 have one type of output connect and later models [94-96] have a different one.

The voltage output vs air flow graph are the same since the engine is the same size. Never tried making a adapter between the two models.

A few tenths of a volt difference can translate to quite a bit of injector time variation.......especially above 4,000 RPM WOT.At cruise the O2 will self correct the MAF over a +- 15% range, not so at WOT.

I've been running a 91 maf on my 94 for quite some time with no adverse affects. It plugged right in and cleared up some minor idle problems I was having (don't know if the MAF was the culpirt or not). I have a 94Q and bouth the 91 Q maf from Dr. Ken.

Did your MAF go bad? Is this common? Maybe you should ask Wes for his old MAF.

LG-

His MAF is suspected to be causing his bucking problems (lets not also forget the 02 sensors as stated in the FSM!)

Im hooking him up with a MAF
