I take it Madonna is voting for Obama.

Even though funny, it's not cool Madonna. Shame on you.

Ugh, what a dumb b*tch.

This is exactly the kind of "publicity" the Obama campaign does NOT need.

Not even reading it.

She's an irrelevant and useless media whore who'd be institutionalized if she weren't famous.

I was hoping we could get through this election without having to hear from the "experts" on MTV and in Hollywood telling us how we should vote...

There's a reason people go into entertainment and not a profession that requires intelligence.

Hollyweird

Their job is to pretend to be what they are not which is exactly what makes them liberals in the first place

No matter how much the Republicans would like to frame theselves as the "non-celebrity" party and claim everyone in acting is a left-leaning wacko, that is hardly the case. Here's a list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U...Party

If every actor is a liberal wacko, they have to disavow their role model, Ronald Reagan.

What a superfluous and silly bunch of nonsense to try to make an issue out of.

The number of liberal activists in hollyweird FAR FAr Far far outnumber the republicans in hollyweird. Same as with liberals in the MSM and in education roles.

Yes on the activist part, but I'm not so sure that the liberals in general outnumber the conservatives. Conservatives tend to be just that: conservative. Not flashy, not attracting too much attention to what they are doing, just quietly working withing the systems available to get things done. The liberals tend to be the talkers, attracting attention to themselves.

It's the people quietly working behind the scenes that get things done.

Edit: I removed a small sentence that didn't belong and corrected some spelling.

It's a lot like wedding/divorce news out of Hollywood. The sensationalism provides the headlines. You rarely hear about the marriages that last.

I agree that this really isn't a partisan issue.

It's just a wacko chick, she could just as easily be a member of either party.

The GOP has their fair share of wacko chicks, including the ones protesting military funerals alongside Fred Phelps, they just aren't famous.

Those women don't have any more claim to be representing the GOP than Madonna has claim to represent the Democrats. They are both wacky statistical outliers.

It's funny and stupid, but still totally immaterial.

I'd sure like to see the the "wacky people" statistics from hollyweird in regards to political motives as I can only think of a few actors who are coming out from the republican side vs tons from the dem side.

Yes, Hollywood is all about gossip and a large number of people who can't stay married or off of drugs telling us what _we_ should be doing in our lives while they are enjoyng their private jets, nannies, maids, etc. If you don't have a good insight as to what "Joe Public" is due to your lifestyle then you should STFU and stop using your celebrity status to steer people.

I can think of quite a few but lately it seems a lot of the more conservative entertainers are joining the ranks of libertarian over Republican.

As for Republican supporters I can think of right now: Kelsey Grammer, Bruce Willis, Sly Stallone, Chuck Norris, Dennis Miller, James Woods, Bo Derek, Rick Schroeder, Shannon Doherty, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fred Thompson, former Playboy Playmate of the Year India Allen to name a few. There are a few more.

I agree that Hollywood is substantially more liberal, but celebrity isn't limited to just Hollywood. Entertainers coming out of Nashville tend to be more conservative, and many of those evangelists and televangelists out on the right have to viewed as celebrities.

I agree with Hashiriya- nutcases do exist on both sides of the aisle.

I agree.

Why these people are being used as role models and even "guiders" of society is beyond me. Celebrity worship needs to stop.

Same applies to drug-abusing blowhards like Rush, pompous self-absorbed intolerant multimillionaires like O'Reilly, and half the self righteous televangelists on Sunday morning T.V. who fleece their flocks and pocket ridiculous sums of money for their decadent lifestyles.

If you are going to accept the higher money that goes with a higher profile job, I personally think you need to live to the higher standard as a role model. Like it or not, the publicity makes you a role model. As long as people aspire to have more worldly goods, people will look to those that already have more and try to copy them.
