yes yes i know, , im dumb, you have to realize i just dropped alomst 2k into dss axles and a kaaz so they wount break again. that money was supposed to buy me a aem, waiting for a few customers to come thru the shop so i can get some more cash flow going in to a proper ems,WhatsADSM wrote:That sucks.... but at least you got parts coming.
BTW, I swear to god if you put the N2O on while you are still on an SAFC for tuning. Like I mentioned in the thread before you really should at least have a base ROM tune or something now before you go any further.
broke a few stock style cvs, so i upgraded to a pair of drive shaft shop axles and didnt count on the vlsd to break on the dyno, easy roll on pulls.gmac708 wrote:Dumb question from a noob, sorry. Why would a VLSD cause a CV joint failure and a kaaz (1 or 1.5 or 2 way) not????
idk what to tell you, ive had people respond wil "my vlsd let out on me at 250whp" so not to sure, also i have launched the car on mts quite a few times on this rear end, thats when it started making a hell of a noise!HxC_Nismo wrote:so let me get this straight you pretty much destroyed your stock vlsd diff? ive broken axles before and i upgraded to an n/a z32 diff with j30 axles (wich are alot beefier then the stock 6bolt axles). well im pushing 488rwhp with my rb and im wondering is there a real noticiable gain in acceleration with an upgraded lsd like kazz or tomei?? or will my stock z32 lsd give out on me over real soon?
my kaaz just arrived, cant wait to install it later tonight after my girls soccer game for UF.Cjmartz2k wrote:I destroyed a stock diff a while back, and have a stupid Nismo one now. Loud and annoying.
im still deciding on either a emanage or aemWhatsADSM wrote:That sucks.... but at least you got parts coming.

time to upgrade the q45 rear end!!! but wait; you got the kaazSullivanRacing06 wrote: hmmm four letters VLSD! FU&K thoes rear ends
yea ive got the kaaz sitting on my box now, had to install the nismo power brace and a pair of caster arms tonight, didnt feel like pulling rear end out n apart tonight to install the kaaz, man oh man you should see the rear end i blew up, first off the internal unit isnt sealed, which leads me to believe its a s15 rear end, it had clutch packs in it, the pinion gear is smoother then a piece of paper and the ring gear is shreaded to hell!BoostFab wrote:time to upgrade the q45 rear end!!! but wait; you got the kaaz
also, go AEM...or Haltech E11 plug and play.
**** you dont like yours? I was gonna go with a Nismo 1.5 way but my 3000gt buddy is trying to convince me to buy an OBX HLSD and redo it.Cjmartz2k wrote:I destroyed a stock diff a while back, and have a stupid Nismo one now. Loud and annoying.
damm mack, i havent talked to you if forever! thoes lower rb25 shifter bushings worked like a charm!FAST-DATSUN wrote:Be sure to check ring and pinion back lash and tooth pattern(proper meashing) to ensure not to kill the gears after the install....
no ebay obx plz, theyll keep you the entire time, they scare me, id rather have a jap "proff" assemble mine, not a child labor payed "starvin marvin" assembling a diff on the dirt floor of his parents hut.neonbomb wrote:
