mad miles on my ka24

i have a 89 240 with the ka in it. its got 292,000 miles on it it still runs strong alls it does is burn a little oil has anyone heard of a ka haveing over 300,000 miles? is that common for theese motors to run so long

yeah thats quite a lot of miles, not unheard of tho for a KA.

My chassis has 288k.

But, i've already pulled the original motor. It was ALLLL screwed up.

Amazing still pulled hard with tons of leaks and timing chain guides gone.

I have a 97 240sx SE automatic, it has 160k miles on it, but the motor is still great, no leaks. although I have replaced alot, radiator, water pump, MAF+knock+o2 sensors, all belts and hoses recently. So I guess I have another 50k to go before I have to do any other repairs.

Any one have to replace their Timing Chain recently? How long does it go before you have to replace that?

It doesn't surprise me that these motors are capable of going 300K+. What amazes me is that you can find one that was properly maintained for long enough to do it.

Even a Ford can go that long with proper maintenance

yeha i had to replace the water pump on mine and it needs a radiator but the funny thing is the kids before me who had this beat the balls out of this car lol
