machining snap ring to go 5 lug

i got some j30 hubs and a friend who does machining...now i just need to know exactly where to get the snap ring machined in---ive found a few pictures and threads regarding doing this but neither of us know/can figure out where exactly to put it..if there is a specific place/measurement to put it in the proper location thats all i need :crazy:
