Bobby said he doesn't do ring gapping anymore, but he gave me the number of someone he trusts to do it. Cool people over there at Harris Quon!

I just moved to Memphis too. Living in Collierville atm. NXER got a 6 month contract with one of the big corps here. If it turns into a long-term job, we're gonna start looking for ahouse. I'm already looking for my next project. :D

Sweet, theres a good amount of auto culture going on behind the scenes, its not as obvious as it was in MD.

I also noticed that people are ridiculously nice here.

Yeah, coming from NY, it's a trip to get used to. The reason we decided to stay in Memphis was how nice people are. We were just going to stay for a week on our way to California. Housing is way more affordable, pay is on scale with the national average, and people are just nice everywhere you go. I walked to the grocery store yesterday, and a truck going to make a right pulled into the crosswalk and blocked it. The driver rolled down his window and APOLOGIZED TO ME. I was shocked! It's just a relaxing place to live.

There is a car meet every Thursday night in Bartlett at Stage and Kirby Whitten Rd. that you might want to check out. Lots of cool cars there!

Glad bobby got you hooked up ,they are good people!

I usually make it up that way about every month or 2.

If you're ever bored, feel free to drive down and spend the weekend or whatever. I'm about 3 hours away.

Or you can hang out with Ben. He's cool s*** ;)

That was a cool car show. Needed more old Nissans. Saw a clean Z32 and 2 drift spec S13 coupes in the parking lot. There was a Blue 70 Mustang Mach 1 that was a clutch away from being my dream car.

Well, I decided to man up and I bought the ring filer. This is a skill I'd like to be comfortable with. Thanks for the info guys, at least now I know some good shops to go to for advice/random work.

Way to man up, man.

If you really feel like manning up, swing by my place this weekend and help me drop the engine in the miater.

All the important stuff yeah. There's about 15 minutes of plastic covers and putting belts on that I need to do before I'd transfer it over to the engine hoist.
