everything is vin specific thru the ecu so plugging in another car is going to show up with unmatching vehicle information, the station will be fined thousands, in a case like this you would hope something like this would go without being noticed, but its not a deffinate. At my old nissan dealer in cohassett that i was working for they got caught and fined, if anybody knows someone whos a sick f*ck and can get around this let me know.

that may work in jersey, but it may not work in mass. it certainly won't work in ct. i don't do it anymore, but i am still certified to test cars here. state monitors each dyno with a camera in front and behind the vehicle. they may not always be watching, but they can at any time. as an inspector, there is nothing i can do to pass/fail any car. obdI gives a little more leeway and if you know have a really good tuner, they should be able to tune the engine enough to get you to pass, but it may take multiple attempts.

But a 96 would need testing. Considering that they have to scan the vin in from your door jamb, I don't think your going to find anyone who will get you passed.

it wouldve been nice if it were a 95 since 95 and below (obdI) in mass only have to worry about a safety inspection! they've done away with all emissions tests on them. who wants to trade cars!? i've been adding to this car since i was 17 and im 22 so its kind of hard to part with after all the work i did. but ill take offers and trades at this point.
