It's seems on cold starts that my baby is running alil rich. I've did a little searching and some say it's normal for these engines. Would everyone agree? I was thinking change injectors and fuel rail to see if that fixes it. Has anyone ever sorted out the running rich problems on these?

I've not seen a post related to running rich. Perhaps someone who's had this car longer can chime in...

Interesting thread...and now that you've linked to that one, that means I am also running rich because I have noticed smoke in my own mirrors (although not nearly as bad as that other OP - completely obstructed view of car behind you, really?) and my pipes are pitch black and lower part of my bumper is darkened as well. Hence why I want a rear diffuser for this car...

It will be interesting to see if after I get the car UpRev tuned if that issue goes away. I'm currently waiting for my tuner to hear back from UpRev on unlocking our M56 ECU for tuning (at least the one that I specifically have) via their software and he'll be adjusting the A/F ration, etc. as part of the tune, I'd imagine.

Normal. My car did it from day 1. It used to be quite a bit, but the harder I drove it, the less soot it blew out.

And no, UpRev won't fix it. It's not really a big deal.

I'm sure it's not 'bad' for the car per se, but it's a little annoying to see on the back bumper.

Today I pushed it pretty hard on the on ramp to freeway a few times and so far it seamed to clear up a little bit. Maybe in the next week or 2 I will replace the spark plugs and see how they look after 100k. I'll definitely post pics also.

Yep, normal, worse on cold morning and when full throttle.
