Hi everyone,

I was wondering if the new facelift Q70 grill or bumper, or headlights will fit (plug/play or bolt-on) the 2011 M56. I was searching around and it seems to me that they both share the same chasis. It's just the headlights, tail lights and bumpers that seem to have slightly changed.

Please let me know.

Welcome to NICO.
This issue was discussed before you joined but with an M37. To my knowledge, it never went past discussion. You may be the first to test the theory. Personally, I think the body panels on the front and rear are different enough that the Q70 bumpers and grille will not fit without body work and filling.
Here is that previous thread:

The facelifted headlights, tail lights are bolt on along with the facelifted front and rear bumper. Someone tried this on a 11 M37 on the M facebook group. Change the bumpers and the headlight/taillights are bolt on

@mig0s thats what i was thinking too, from an engineering standpoint, it wouldn't make sense to get a new assembly line and redesign a whole new chasis

i think that the headlights wont fit without the new bumper, but all the mount points are the same
what about the trunk and hood? i feel like the trunk definitely needs to be changed as well.

what is the link to the facebook group?

also what was the cost of the whole facelift, im guessing in the 1-2k USD range?

I think the guy on FB was selling his for like $3k. And if I recall, vaguely, it did include the trunk and hood...but someone may want to correct me on that.

The facebook page is called Infiniti m34 m45 m37 m56 fuga enthusiasts group

If i remember correct, the hood doesnt need to be change but the trunk yes.

For the price, itll be way more than 1-2k lol. You need the new bumper front and rear, headlights, tails, trunk, fogs etc. I'd say 4k

Since I have nothing better to do ;) , here's a ballpark:

bumper rear $630 plus paint - say $1000.
front bumper $600 plus paint say $1000
grille $450
Headlight $1600 (ouch!!!) x 2 = $3200
trunk lid assembly $600
tail light $370 x 2 = $750
fog light assembly $330 x 2 = $660

This is just the main pieces, it doesn't include all various trims, finishers, bezels, harnesses (for DRLs) etc, that will run into hundreds of $$ and beyond.

Even with the eStore discount of 30% (or is it 35%???) this would cost more than $5k (not including painting of the bumpers) and that is just to buy the parts.
I'd say $7000 to do it yourself. More like $10,000 to get it done by somebody else.

If someone wrecked my car I'd do the switch, but otherwise you're better off trading the car in and losing $2-3k versus $8-10k lol.

What Ilya said. Except I would only do the rear. I like my front better(although the grill in the q70 is sweet).

I wonder if the rear view mirrors would be an easy upgrade

There is a guy on Facebook, same group mentioned above who recently did the transformation. He changed fenders, lights and bumper.

Everything fight right in the lights on the truck lid did not plug right in so I have to
