Does anyone else with a M56 experience noisy/groaning power steering pump when the car warms up?

I can hear it in the car with the windows up when I make a turn; I know the pumps usually naturally groan but this seems a little more prominent than it should be.

*I did check fluid levels and the fluid is fairly clean and does not smell burnt.

I have a groan but I think it's something else. Lasts about 10 seconds and then I never hear it again.

Mine is definitely the power steering pump, I know the sound all too well from steering problem adventures with my super high quality Hyundai designed for small hands.

*Update

When I was at the dealer getting an oil change I brought this up to the service manager. The problem was the screen in the power steering pump reservoir was clogging up. They replaced the reservoir and the noise is gone.

Interesting. I have that noise too. It goes away within a minute, but it's annoying.
Funny that page ST-87 of the FSM doesn't mention any screen. It must be part of the reservoir itself, and not separately replaceable. I wonder if the screen can be cleared by blowing it out with a blast of air?

It is part of the reservoir... I had a similar issue with another vehicle and I cleaned (tried to) out the reservoir myself; it fixed it temporarily and then started making noise again. It was only permanently repaired by replacing the reservoir.
