2011 M56X here 148k currently With a Fuel pump crapping out. The M56 has had its timing chain recall done back in 17 well yesterday car was bucking on accerlation like it hit a wall or a Fuel Cut Off. Car went into limp mode as I got home and parked it car cut off . Was struggling to Start for 20 mins . Pulled the Codes with my Scanner P0090 and P0087 20 minutes Later Car started up normal but the codes remain . Will not be driving it till it has been checked out . Have any owners dealt with this ?

Don't drive it again
Don't start out again
Get it towed to your mechanic asap
Take it to a mechanic you trust and get it replaced now.

I liked on eBay the other day cuz I'm concerned about this issue and I saw the pump on there for under $900 which is way better than the $2000 that the dealer wanted.

Good luck
Andy

The high pressure fuel pump sounds like it's why quite a few people are having catastrophic engine failure.

I would think that you should be good after that gets replaced.

Let us know what's going on with this issue.

Good luck

Every now and then after driving it for a while and it sits if I start it up it would bog down and die and I’d start it up give it some gas and she was fine afterwards . She went into limp mode and I parked her in front of my house where she sputtered and died . After 20 minutes she started up normally for the most part but the fuel sensor code still exist . I have videos

Does anyone have the high pressure fuel pump part number? I'm hesitant to buy one off of ebay without confirmation of the part number. I appreciate it!
