M56 DIY engine cover refurb?

Should I high heat spray paint the silver section or vinyl wrap? Lots of different opinions, hydrodrip and wrap, degrease, sand and spray and a lot of other way. Who has done a DIY and what product was used and results? Pics would be great.

Hydrodip, high heat painted or power coating is probably the best options. I can't see vinyl lasting long in the engine heat.

I think I am going with paint. Hydrodip is above my expertise. Vinyl you are right, may not last. I guess use cleaner to clean, sanding block to scuff wipe clean and spray. See how it comes out.
