Hello everyone,
I went to upgrade my NAVTEQ Map DVD's for my 2004 M45 (Y34) and have found that they no longer offer any updates. NAVTEQ was brought-out so INFINITI took-over map updates in-house. They stopped providing updates since 2013. That is SAD! The last one I brought was 2010-2011, version 6.9

I think Nissan discontinues map updates after about 5 years. The maps used in their current vehicles are from TomTom.

Anyway, the last official update for your 17 year old car is Version 6.11 Price is $ 79.00 + $ 3.95 shipping.

Your best bet may be to get a GROM Audio VLine VL2 which will give you Android Auto/Apple CarPlay so you don't have to pay for map updates ever again and get realtime maps from Google or Apple. Or you can use Waze and get a decent and free radar :). I've found that depending on metro, 95% of the cops were already spotted by someone lol.

Thanks, Ilya. The GROM units are not compatible at all with Y34 M45's. (per their customer support team).

and...

Rogue One,
Also, I realize my car is 17 yrs old... but with only 79K-miles on it, it is very
relevant to me and buying a "new" map from 2013 only would be useless...

nevertheless,
thank you both for your responses. I'll have to see how they are handling this for Gloria's and Cedric's in Japan.
