I am certain that this has been covered but I have searched and can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I have a 2008 M45 Sport and a Xenon headlight is glowing pink which means its failing I assume. The dealer wants $450 to replace ($168 just for bulb!)

I'm not inclined to replace myself so I was wondering if if there is a place I can find a pair less expensive so I can take to my other mechanic to install for me. Does anyone have the stock light information and place to get them?

Thanks,

Matt

See this thread:

Since you have an HID equipped car, I would go with the Philips 85122 bulbs that are referenced in the thread from the TheRetrofitSource.com.

Otherwise, any of their other kits would work great. You can always get bulbs on EBay for $30...but personally, I would never do that.

Also, your bulb type is D2S. Just in case you do want to search the internet for replacement bulbs. Ballasts you can pretty much get any kind you want as long as they are 35w. I am running 50w on my car personally, but factory is 35w.

Can you tell a real difference between the 35 and 55 ? I ordered the morimoto 35's for my fog kit and also the 35 bulbs for my headlights. Would I be best served ordering the 55W kit for my low beams ?
