This is from LeaseCompare.com. Interestingly enough, they are projecting the residual value of the M45 to be higher than the Lexus which is something that I have never seen before. Also the money factor is much lower as well. Makes buying a M45 vs a GS430 very attractive.

That's for the 06 M45, any idea about the 04/05 M45's?

I've been using this chart when customers try to make a comparison with the GS.

How would the higher residual values affect the prices of older Infinitis?

Used 06 M45 would bemor expensive.

At this point there is no telling, about its posible effect on 02/03/04 Q45's and M45's.

Even tho a high profile car in a brand tends to uplift the perception of the entire brand

This is very surprising. My dad just bought a LS430 and the Q was smoked by the LS in all ways on the lease.

I think that the older M45 god love them (I've driven one and liked it) are going to be cheap to pick up. The 06 looks sweeeet, I sat in one while my Q was being serviced and it felt nice. I cannot justify buying a new car with only 79k on the Q and I only drove it 5k last year, but drooowwllll.

money factor is basically just another fancy term and presentation to use while arguing prices and to get the poor consumer confused.

Interest Rate = Money Factor * 2,400

24 mo/15k mi - 71% residual – Money Factor .00168 Base Rate

or

24 mo/15k mi - 71% residual – Interest Rate 4.03%

How much influence does the Manufacturer have over lease residuals?

If Infiniti (Nissan N.A.) agrees to a higher residual value, wouldn't that move prices across the board?

It seems to me Infiniti finally woke up to the fact that the resale value of their older cars were affecting new sales.

Of course, this is a good thing for all current Infiniti owners, except maybe for those of us who have their eyes on picking up an off-lease M45. I personally would take the 02-04 Q45.
