2003 M45 tire pressure sensor alarm goes off everyday for the last several weeks and all tires register at *****. Didn't see any common problems from any of the posts. Is there some easy way to re-set or just disconnect?

And each tire PSI measures what at the time of activation?

What does your purchased electronic external hand psi gauge read for each tire. Is the actual tire pressure correct while the display is just reading a blank overpressure or a blank underpressure.

The builtin system is just so you don't have to read and adjust the pressure every day, still doesn't relieve you of weekly responsibility to adjust psi to correct for changes in psi caused by temperature changes.

1 psi for every 10F change in ambient.

I was wondering about this tonight as I was adjusting the pressure in the G. My wife had figured out that at temperatures below 40F she was going to get "the light" - so I set them all at about 33.5lbs at 50F (after a five mile drive) hoping that it will keep her above the threshold for a while. Looks like it should be good for a while... For grins, I set the tire pressure on the Q once before a 100 mile interstate drive in the summer. Got out of the car and re-checked the pressure and didn't see a measurable difference between the cold pressure and hot pressure. How much much of a factor is the "cold pressure" vs. "hot pressure" when dealing with tire pressures?

I have this gauge. You should be able to get it or a smilar one for less than $20, and the accuracy should be way better than the old slide-out style.

Cold pressire is first thing in am [no sun on tire] before the car has been moved even 1/4 mile.

With 44 psi max tires that should be 34-35 psi, with 51 max tires that should be 40 psi.
