Looks great! I especially like the seamless bottom. Was it an easy mod? What happens to radar cruise control?

Very nice look. I agree that the flush install with the bumper makes it look way better!

Do tell, where did the kit come from? EZ install? Cost?

I had the dealer do the install.

The grills are made by Stillen. I made the mistake of purchasing them directly from the dealer however. Mistake because it was an impulse buy. After they were installed, I looked them up on-line to find them listed by Stillen at a price 50% lower than the dealers!

This was 2 months ago. I just went to the Stillen.com site and mysteriously, there is now no sign of the billet grille for the M.I've Googled the billet grill for the M and so far have had no luck.

I paid around $600.00 for the two grills & the install. You can likely get them through your dealer.

In all though, I get more compliments & stares now more than ever!It truly looks awesome.

TIP: keep the original top grill for when you trade or sell the vehicle down the road. The bottom piece fits over the original black lower plastic grill.

Looks REALLY good... Some cars dont look good with billet grills, IMO, and this one looks fabulous.....

At least when you buy it at the dealer you KNOW its going to be installed and look right!

Believe it or not, the dealer scratched the bumper in 5 places and had to repaint it. True story. Car had 3,500 miles on it at the time. I was beyond furious.

Nice look on your M.

Jury's out on that one for me. I think the Sport w/ Aero package looks great with the OEM grille.

Question:Do you have an aero kit on your m or just the splash guards?

If you were asking me, I have the full aero. (I have it even if you weren't asking me)

Nice look. I've leased my M45 so not sure I'd want to spend that money on something I'd have to remove when I have to return it.

But in case I get crazy..... anyone know if it's easy enough to do on my own or would they recommend having the dealer do it? Well, at least not the dealer that did it for IM4UMIA!

Still never heard an answer as to whether or not this one interferes with radar cruise control. On Jason's site, he seems to indicate some of the lower grilles will not allow this to work...

You can also choose a black powercoated version as well.

Hi everyone, I have been reading all the posts in the forum since july but have just recently registered. I am interested in the billet grille for the '06 M45 sport and was wondering if you had any pics for the black power-coated version.

If you can post those that would be great.

My question is does the lower fascia affect the cruise control monitor behind it?

I tihnk it works better since the billet grille gives a sense of roundness, and the front end of the M is quite round.

Burtman appears to have a great price on this and I think I will perform this upgrade even with my car being a lease since this is something that shouldn't be too difficult to install or remove by myself. Although I tend to be fairly handy, which helps.

i agree with white tiger, burtman is my guy for all mods no matter what car i lease... i am also leasing my car, and since theres no cutting involved on installing the new grille i wouldnt mind putting it on then taking it over once the car goes back...

I've got a black M45 aero sport on order and I think the black grill would look killer on that car. But that still leaves the chrome strip on the hood which will stand out badly I think.

Anyone know if that can be removed, painted, etc..?

Thanks!

That's nice. I like the lower opening being so flush and well finished.
