I found out that the add-on M45 splash guards are not yet listed in the service department parts lists. I have called the Infiniti Customer Service reps and asked them to look into it - they have promised me to call me back on this issue. This accessory should be a "set of four" item at $69.00 list.
In the meantime, for all M45 owners wanting to add the splash guards, be aware that the Infiniti parts folks may not realize this and may try to sell you the Q45 splash guards - which comes in a "set of 2" at $49.50 each (total of $99). These do not look like they will fit the M45 ... they are "body colored" and look larger than the ones intended for the M45.
