Has anyone smoked or tinted there tail lights on a 03-04 M45 or any year for that matter?

Is it better to get the thick tint film type or send them to a place and have them spray tint them????

I have seen 1 tinited but i don't know what they used and i think the 03-04 look sick smoked

Mine are done...do a search on my name and you will find pics. I sprayed mine and i think the results are much better than film. Also you can control how dark you make them when you spray them.

I like what this guy did with his Versa. I may be interested in doing my mirror signals if I can figure out how to remove them.

Does anyone have any added remarks about VHT nite shade.

I used Nite Shades on my Mustang and had great results. However, I separated the lens from the housing and painted the inside of the lens. Much more durable and a better finish (higher gloss). You'd have to bake the tails to soften the glue though.

Funny you bring this topic up. I just tinted my tail lights yesterday morning. Still in the curing process though. I ordered my tint from lamin-x but they dont sell pre cut for the tail lights only for the head lights so this was all done by hand. I almost drove my self to drinking with frustration.Just finished the sidemarkers also...I think I have to much time on my hands!

Amazing Job.

Which car did you order the tail lights for, in order to manually cut them?

Since there is no precut you have to ask for two 12x24 sheets of tint, then due a trace around the lights. But make sure your get it right the first time beacuse its just enough to cover the light once. You will have left over that can be used for the sidemarkers and what not. Dont be discouraged when your done it will look kinda bubbly but when you let it cure for abut 2-3 days most water and air will release and it will start to look good again.
